Placement Pros wants to provide Career Paths. What is the age requirement?
All ages, from 16 and older, are encouraged to apply! State law requires that applicants 16 to 18 years of age must provide necessary signed work permits at time of registration. All adults capable of completing the work duties of an assignment are welcome.
Do you hire for temporary and full-time positions?
Yes, we do hire for temporary as well as full-time positions. We are a full service staffing solution company assisting with temporary, short-term, long-term, temp-to-hire and permanent placements. We provide career counseling, executive retainer services and attorney advisement.
Is there a fee to join this company?
We never charge a fee. Applicants do not pay to register with us. Also for a placement, we do not deduct anything from your paycheck. You will know your exact pay rate before accepting an assignment. Our Executive Search consulting services are also free to our candidates.
How do I get paid?
Placement Pros' employees are paid weekly. Bring or fax your signed timesheet for the previous week's hours to us. If you mail your timesheet, be sure to mail it early so that we'll get it. Please call to confirm receipt of all faxed timesheets. Come in after 5:00pm on payday for our weekly celebration with snacks.
Will you recognize my commitment to attendance?
If you are on time everyday and work a full 40 hours; Placement Pros will award you with a gold coin as a token of appreciation to your perfect attendance commitment. Show your 40 hour signed timesheet to your coordinator and request your coin. When you accumulate 5 coins, turn them in to your coordinator and redeemable them for cash and prizes.
What is your policy on harassment issues?
Placement Pros strongly disapproves of any form of harassment in the workplace, including sexual harassment and encourages all employees to assist in the prevention of all forms of harassment. Any person who believes that he or she has been harassed while on assignment, or is a witness to any act of harassment, should promptly report the facts: incident and name(s) of the individual(s) involved to their Placement Pros Coordinator or Division Manager. Placement Pros' management will investigate such claims and maintain the highest confidentiality possible under the circumstances. Should you have questions pertaining to Placement Pros' policy and procedures on harassment, please contact your Placement Pros Coordinator or Division Manager. Placement Pros prohibits retaliation against any employee who has reasonably reported or complained of harassment consistent with state law.
What is the expected dress code?
At Placement Pros we dress like pros! Our clients expect a high degree of professionalism and our employees play a significant role in maintaining that professional image. We are all expected to dress with good judgment and casual attire is not appropriate during normal business hours.
Do you have 401K?
Yes we do! To be eligible you must be at least 21 years old and have completed 1,000 hours of service during any 2, 3 or 4 consecutive quarters. Enrollment is available 4 times yearly: January l, April 1, July 1 and October 1. We offer a wide range of investments with the employer matching up to $1,250.00. Employer contributions are subject to vesting. Roll-overs from previous employers are accepted.
How does your Safety and Injury Prevention Program work?
Placement Pros is devoted to our employees and their safety! We list these safety guidelines below to promote healthy work habits and to prevent injuries.
We recommend that all employees periodically review these safety tips.
- Check the bulletin board at offices where you work. Safety issues are usually posted in common areas. Company policies vary and it is your responsibility to keep current on the safety issues pertaining to each new workplace.
- Maintain a neat work area and report any safety violations to your Placement Pros coordinator.
- Report accidents or injuries to a Placement Pros Coordinator immediately. As our employee, you are fully covered by our Worker's Comp Insurance.
Computer Monitors
- To prevent eye, neck and back strain from computer use.
- Sit in a comfortable chair with good back support. Do not lean forward in chair.
- Line of sight should be perpendicular to center of screen. The monitor should be at least 12 inches from your face, with the brightness adjusted to a comfortable level.
- Feet should rest comfortably on the floor; arms and hands should comfortably reach the keyboard.
Other Safety Guidelines
- Do not attempt to lift heavy materials.
- No driving.
- No handling of cash.
Do you offer Referral Bonuses?
Yes we do offer referral bonuses. A $25 bonus is yours for each new person you refer to Placement Pros after she or he completes the first full 100 hours of satisfactory performance. Be sure all your friends list your name on the original application as the person who referred them.
Do you offer Sales Lead Bonuses?
Yes, we do offer sales lead bonuses. You can earn a $100 sales lead bonus for information that directly results in a new customer for Placement Pros. Call your Placement Pros Coordinator with sales lead information. They will be happy to hear from you.
How do I become eligible for health insurance?
Temporary employees of Placement Pros are entitled to participate in our Health/Vision & Dental Plans, Flexible Benefit Program, Life Insurance & Accidental Death & Dismemberment Plans on the first of the month after they have completed 30 days of active service with the company and are working an average of at least 35 hours a week. Please note: lf you do not apply within 31 days of the date you become eligible, you will not be eligible to apply for coverage again until our open enrollment date of January of the following year. Please contact our Benefits Administrator for more information on the types of health plans available to you, or call with other questions you may have regarding terms and conditions.
Am I eligible for software and technical training?
Placement Pros extends an open door software training and tutorial program to all employees interested in upgrading their technical skills. We provide state-of-the-art software training and over 50 testing programs. Call or come by the office anytime between 8 & 4:30.
What happens if the client offers me full-time employment?
Placement Pros encourages full-time placement! If you are approached by a client on-site supervisor for full-time employment and it is also your desire, we will assist in an easy transition to full-time status with the best possible terms for you and your new employer.
What are my responsibilities in accepting an assignment?
Be as diligent and responsible as you can. Remember: when accepting an assignment, your commitment is extremely important!
- Start date, duration of assignment, work hours and job number are important facts. Make sure your information is correct. Placement Pros will deliver timesheets to you.
- Double check site directions with your Placement Coordinator. Write down and take with you the company name, phone number and extension.
- Write down and take with you the name of the person you report to, her/his title and department.
- Clarify the nature of the work and dress appropriately.
- Know your rate of pay and keep it private. Also, maintain confidentiality with all customer business.
- Call and tell us your direct phone number to your work area. Your personal calls should be made on public phones and only during break times.
- Call at least one hour in advance if you are sick or running late. All coordinators have pagers; make sure you have their pager number.
- Do not bring personal belongings, no newspapers or books. We are not responsible for any theft.
- Always suggest that you would be happy to return.
- Remember to call in when you become available so we can consider you as opportunities become available.
- Our customer expects a flexible person with a good and cheerful attitude. If duties differ drastically from what we described, please call your Placement Pros coordinator.
How does your 1040 Bonus Plan plan work?
When you work on a Placement Pros assignment, our bonus accrual rate is $100 earned with every 1040 hours completed, plus no deadline or benefit termination date. Most other companies that are able to offer this type of bonus make you wait until 1500 hours are completed and it all has to happen within the same year!
Do I need special permits for Security or Industrial positions?
Special permits and certification is required for most assignments in our Security division. Selected applicants will be tested and state certification will be available. Some Industrial positions will require special driver's licenses and equipment permits. Talk to your coordinator about these options.
