Responsibilities
- Read, learn, understand, and interpret blueprints and work instructions, and other instructions written or verbal, to complete assembly of products or components according to established guidelines and quality standards.
- Read, understand, and interpret more complex ruler measurements.
- Advanced soldering and crimping skills
- Ability to identify and pick out various sizes of wire for production.
- Knowledge of crimping machine and changing of dies in bench top crimper
- Knowledge of kitting-bagging to prepare product for shipment.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools following appropriate methods and procedures to complete assembly of components or products and prepare products and other items for shipment.
- Assemble or modify electronic equipment, position, align and adjust work pieces and electronic parts to facilitate wiring assembly.
- Additional responsibilities, such as packaging and/or spot-checking others work
- Inspect and test parts and products as necessary, during and/or after assembly, according to established guidelines and quality standards.
- Responsible for In-process inspection of all production work, proper documentation, and proper method of assembly
- Advanced knowledge of all positions – go to person for assembly questions
- Capable of setting up jobs and filling out paperwork for production
- Able to troubleshoot as needed
- Accountable for department performance when supervisor is not present.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
